Scott is a partner in the Boston office of Morrison Mahoney LLP and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He concentrates his practice in the defense of professionals including those practicing in the fields of law, insurance, accounting, real estate, construction, securities and finance as well as directors and officers, against claims of malpractice and improper employment practices before state and federal trial, appellate courts and administrative agencies.

Scott has been with the firm since 1990 and a partner since 1995. With 30 years of trial experience and a success rate exceeding 95%, and having managed an errors and omissions (E&O) program for agents of a national life insurer, Scott has a keen awareness of the clients’ needs when it comes to purchasing legal services. Clients retain Scott to try high exposure or complex cases in the areas of premises and products liability, trucking, and business litigation, sometimes just prior to trial.

He applies this throughout his leadership and strategy discussions at roundtables involving case strategy and also mentoring junior attorneys.

Scott is a former New York City prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office under Robert M. Morgenthau.
