Morrison Mahoney Partner Anthony Abeln recently obtained a defense verdict in a 9 day wrongful death case in Middlesex Superior Court. Our clients were an interventional cardiologist and cardiac surgeon, who saw a 65-year-old man with complaints of increasing chest pain and shortness of breath, and decided to schedule an elective bypass procedure 10 days later. Unfortunately, the patient died two days after this visit. The jury deliberated for parts of two days.
