Morrison Mahoney Partner Joseph Flanagan recently contributed to an article in the Boston Business Journal titled “Risk on the Rise.” The story detailed the dangers of thousands of elevators that are out of compliance with state inspection laws, largely due to lawmakers recently dropping a requirement that state elevator inspectors report on their performance annually. Joe was quoted in support of the elevator service industry’s position that loosening inspection requirements is hazardous. Indeed in just two years, nearly a dozen people in Massachusetts were injured on these elevators.
