Morrison Mahoney Partners Christopher Martin and Neil Tortora, Of Counsel Lina Corriston, and Associate Christina Malamut successfully opposed a Petition for a Writ of Certiorari to the US Supreme Court in a complex legal malpractice matter.
The matter previously had been dismissed at the District Court and Third Circuit Court of Appeals levels and involved constitutional and civil rights claims originating out of a divorce matter which later turned into actions against the state court system as a party, as well as legal malpractice against attorneys in the litigation. Substantial briefing was necessary to oppose the Petition and four days after the Justices conferenced the matter the Petition was denied.
