Morrison Mahoney Associate Jessica O’Brien obtained a successful jury trial result in Plymouth Superior court in a dog bite case.  The plaintiff claimed that her 7 year old son was attacked by her client’s dog which inflicted a wound on the child’s leg that ultimately healed with a modest scar.  The plaintiff sought $100,000 and claimed that the insured was aware of the dog’s vicious propensities, and indeed kept the animal as a “guard dog.”    The jury was convinced by Jessica that the child did not suffer the claimed emotional trauma (continuing nightmares and fear of dogs) and awarded a mere $2,100.
