Associate Bill Smart obtained a defense verdict following a three-day jury trial in Hillsborough County Superior Court, Northern District.
Plaintiff claimed about $65,000 in mostly future specials due to an alleged Lisfranc fracture from a motor vehicle accident. Plaintiff t-boned Defendant’s vehicle as it was turning left at an intersection. Bill argued that Defendant had a green arrow. We also argued that Plaintiff sustained a foot sprain, rather than a fracture, and did not need the surgery advocated by Plaintiff’s expert.
