Morrison Mahoney Law Clerk Courtney Person was recently selected for two prestigious awards. Last month, Courtney received the Justice Reginald Lindsay Public Service Scholarship Award. This award is granted by the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association (“MBLA”) to a nominee who demonstrates exceptional compassion and commitment to public service, and exhibits strong academic achievement. The MBLA is extremely excited to honor Courtney with this award, which she received last month at the MBLA 2018 Annual Gala. Courtney then received a second award, the Blanche E. Braxton Bar Scholarship from the Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys organization. The goal of the scholarship is to promote diversity in the legal profession in Massachusetts by providing financial assistance to a member of MBWA while she studies for the Uniform Bar Exam and Massachusetts Law Component administered by the Massachusetts Board of Bar Examiners. Courtney was the first ever to receive this annual award. Information on the award can be found here: http://massblackwomenattys.org/scholarship/
Courtney is currently a 3L student at New England Law.
