Ted Murphy Obtains Dismissal of a High Exposure Mesothelioma Case

Boston Partner Ted Murphy obtained dismissal of a high exposure mesothelioma case. The case involved a gentleman who oversaw aspects of the construction of the Prudential Center Tower in the 1960’s for the building owner who later worked in facilities management of the complex.  Plaintiff claimed that her husband’s exposure to asbestos-containing spray fireproofing used during construction and later while he was maintaining the tower caused or contributed to his asbestos-related cancer and death.   The U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts granted summary judgment on a complex statute of limitations issue.
