Bill Smart Prevails in Hospital Credentialing Hearing

Morrison Mahoney Partner Bill Smart prevailed in a hospital credentialing matter on behalf of our client, a tele-radiologist. The hospital's Credentials and Medical Executive Committee (MEC) had voted to recommend that the Board of Trustees deny our client’s reappointment to the medical staff following a seven-figure malpractice settlement that arose from care at another facility.

On Friday, May 31, Kathleen A. Federico received the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association Rising Star Award. The award, which was presented at MassDLA’s annual meeting on May 31, 2019, is given to a lawyer who has practiced 10 years or less and has both demonstrated commitment and shows promise to excel in the practice of civil defense law.
