Trial Verdict 2015-9: Boston Partner Doug Price and Associate Alexandra Gordon

Boston Partner Doug Price, along with the assistance of Associate Alexandra Gordon, obtained a judgment for an insurer on a bad faith claim under Mass. G. L. c. 93A / 176D. The bad faith claim was derivative of a tort suit stemming from a motor vehicle-pedestrian accident. The underlying suit was tried before a jury to a defense verdict, however, plaintiff persisted with the bad faith claim. After a two-day bench trial, the judge issued a memorandum entering judgment in favor of the insurer.
