Boston Partner Douglas Price recently obtained summary judgment from the Bristol County Superior Court regarding a trip and fall on a floor mat. The plaintiff was a patron at a restaurant. Upon leaving the restaurant, she tripped and fell, allegedly on a wrinkled floor mat supplied by our client. Neither the plaintiff nor her dining companion saw the condition of the mat prior to the fall. Therefore, there was no evidence as to how long the mat was wrinkled prior to the fall, or if it was wrinkled at all.
