James is a partner in the Providence office of Morrison Mahoney. He concentrates his practice in the areas of professional and medical malpractice, construction litigation and industrial accidents, products liability, and tort and liability defense. James also has experience litigating admiralty claims, anti-trust claims, dram shop claims, and subrogation actions.

James has extensive experience arguing before the state and federal courts in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, as well as multiple alternative dispute resolution forums, including AAA and JAMS. As a long-time Rhode Islander practicing for a Boston-based firm, James is knowledgeable of the nuances of litigating in Rhode Island and Massachusetts and attempts to tailor client solutions to the unique needs of each jurisdiction.

Prior to his role at Morrison Mahoney, James served as a law clerk for the Rhode Island Supreme Court Trial Court Law Department for a year.
