Morrison Mahoney Partner Alan Brown recently obtained a dismissal of a Board of Bar Overseers complaint. The complainant alleged that the lawyer charged an excessive fee in connection with the lawyer’s handling of a contested guardianship case. After reviewing Alan’s written submission detailing the history of the representation and explaining the charges, the BBO dismissed the matter on the papers and without conducting any further proceedings.
