The HR Assistant plays a critical role in the day-to-day operations of the HR Department. The position supports the functional areas of recruitment, onboarding, HRIS data management, and personnel record maintenance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of several HR functions including recruitment, benefits, and HR administration.
  • Prepare new hire offer letters and process all new hire paperwork.
  • Support all onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Update personnel files as assigned.
  • Assist with benefits mailings and open enrollment projects.
  • Assist with recruiting by posting positions, conducting reference checks, updating requisition databases, liaising with staffing firms, and supporting the scheduling of interviews.
  • Perform data entry, scan documents, and assist in maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems.
  • Ensure employee or Partner inquiries are answered and/or properly routed in a timely manner.
  • Create reports and work on special projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong aptitude for MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate general office equipment.
  • High degree of professionalism with strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and an ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and be solutions focused.
  • Experience with HRIS software a plus.
  • Basic understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma required, Associates or higher-level degree preferred.
  • 2+ years HR administrative experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Type:  Part-time.

Hours:  25 hours per week (Mon-Fri).

Work Location:  Hybrid (3 days onsite); Mondays mandatory.

Compensation:  $22-$25/hour.
