Charis is a partner in the New York office of Morrison Mahoney LLP. She focuses her practice in trucking and transportation industry defense. With a prior career as a tractor-trailer driver, Charis brings a unique perspective to our practice.
She serves as a coordinator for catastrophic accident investigations, interfacing with the trucking company, adjusters, accident reconstructionists, police contacts, counsel, and opposing counsel, to achieve a careful and thorough analysis of serious accident cases. Charis litigates cases from inception to finish, and in her experience has earned an award of a directed verdict in Supreme Court, a winning jury trial verdict at the justice court level, and a New York Supreme Court decision exonerating a client following a Framed Issue Hearing. She also defends vehicle and traffic law and DOT summonses and violations. She is admitted in state and federal court.
